The Department of Administration impacts the effectiveness of state government by providing leading edge services to state agencies and entities. These services include information technologies, financial processes, human resources methodologies, contracting, building programs and facilities management, insurance programs, and the regulation of the state’s banks and financial institutions.
We employ over 500 highly skilled employees with a wide variety of responsibilities. There are twelve distinct organizations that make up our workforce.
The majority of our positions reside in the Helena area, however, we do have positions that conduct work around the state such as our bank examiners, lottery sales support, and information systems staff.
